Water quantity and quality measurement system: automated operational metering of water by the direct dynamic mass or indirect volumetric-mass method, between the delivering and receiving parties.
Water quantity and quality measurement system (Water metering system) is a functionally integrated set of measuring instruments (MIs), process and auxiliary equipment designed for automated operational metering of water by the direct dynamic mass method or the indirect volumetric-mass method between the delivering and receiving parties in accordance with the Customer's requirements and other regulatory documentation.

The composition is defined by the customer's requirements and the project. Below are the functional units of the system — click a unit to expand its description.
The metering lines unit consists of inlet and outlet headers and metering lines equipped with flow, pressure and temperature measuring instruments, isolation valves at the line inlet and outlet, control valves and filters. The metering lines unit is intended to measure the product flow rate, temperature and pressure and to transmit the corresponding signals to the data acquisition system. A sampling device (SD) for taking product samples for laboratory analysis, or an automatic sampler, is installed on the metering lines header.
Operator room unit is intended to house the equipment of the data acquisition system and is a factory-complete block-box with interior finishing and lighting, heating, ventilation, security and fire alarm systems.
Data acquisition system (DAS) — is an element of the water quantity and quality measurement system intended for automated execution of the functions of collection, processing, display, recording and storage of information based on measurement results, and for controlling the operating modes of the water quantity and quality measurement system. It is assembled in standardized instrument cabinets and comprises a set of functionally related components: a measuring and computing complex (flow computer), a control controller, secondary instrumentation of the measuring instruments, uninterruptible power supplies, automatic standby power transfer, and system and application software. The DAS also includes the required number of operator workstations (AWS) in desktop design or in cabinet design with a touch control panel. The DAS is intended to receive signals from sensors, instruments and assemblies of the Water metering system process skids, perform metering operations, display information on the monitor, archive data, control operating modes, generate and print reports and protocols, and transmit information to the Customer's upper-level systems.
